“….fair enough.” He said, finally giving in and smiling. “I still don’t see how I’m human though…” Chuckling he smirked.
“I see it. And that’s all that matters.” He said, smiling against his lips.

Ling looked over at Greed, who was playing with his hair. Ever since Greed cut off all his hair, Greed had become fasinated with Ling’s.
The sin blinked and raised an eyebrow, finally pausing to smirk at the prince. Shifting slightly he finally let go. “You seem quiet today, somethin’ up?”
Ling shook his head and smiled and gave him a blank, but loving look. “You work yourself up to be this monster but in all the time i’ve known you, you haven’t done anything to confirm that you are a monster. And, as cliche as it sounds, the only thing you were looking for was companionship.” Leaning over, he laid his head in Greed’s lap, looking up at him. “I was just thinking how… human you are.” He reached up to gently stroke his cheek.
Blinking down at the prince he merely let out a grunt out of embarrassment. ”Human?” He let out a snort. “Yeah right.” Rolling his eyes he poked Ling in the forehead. “I don’t understand you kid, and I don’t think I ever will.”
“A monster would kill and defile everything it could to get what it wanted. You didn’t. You took what you wanted within reasonable measure and no one got hurt.” He opened his eyes and looked at him. “You are more… well, human, than most humans I know.”
Staring down still he eventually let out a sigh in defeat. “I might not be a monster to you, but I’m sure to others I am.” Not that he really cared, he knew what he was and that was all that mattered to him. “That’s contradictory Ling.”
“Not really. When you think of humans, you want to think of good nature and that the human race is concists of positive qualities. But in reality, people kill and hurt others. They lie, cheat and do whatever they can for power. But you, you wouldn’t hurt someone to get power. That is what a human should be like.”
Letting out a sharp laugh he rolled his eyes again. “I have hurt people though, thats just the thing.”
“Not because you wanted to.” He continued to stroke his cheek. He leaned up to kiss him gently on the lips. “You and I both know that.”

She turned back to her cooking.”I don’t take in students.” When she became an adult she swore she wouldn’t take in any students,a goal that was ruined when the Elric brother clung to her arm, begging her to teach them. She remained firm until she’d learned about their parents,or lack of actually. The ending result had been a disaster.
“Alchemy is not taught with simple knowledge. It is complex and could take several months, even years to learn something as complicated as it.” She sighed. “As much as I would like to help you,I cannot simply just take in a stranger and teach you the ways of alchemy.”
Her thoughts flashed to the mysterious man,Hohenheim. It would be cruel to send the boy to him, especially considering she had no idea where he was at. “I can only think of one man,but I neither know where he is located,or really sure that he would even be willing to even talk to you.”
Ling nodded as the woman spoke, taking in her words. “I understand. Thank you for your time, then.” He stood up straight and bowed at the waist to show respect towards the alchemy teacher.
“I won’t be a bother anymore.” He straighed himself up. “I’m sure you can take that food home to someone for dinner.” Giving her a plesant smile, he started to leave. Putting his hand on his chin to rub it, he opened his eyes in thought. He had no idea where to go or who to talk to now. And this woman wasn’t any kind of help.
Ling wasn’t aware that he was just standing in her shop, lost in thought.
